There is one odd thing is that the save dates are one day older than the actual date on the computer. CIV V sometimes works all the way till the end of the game, sometimes it crashes at the same turn and there is nothing I can do about it.Įven saving and restarting wont change things, neither would making different decisions in previous turns. Also, you can try using a memory card reader or your camera with iPhoto. It's been a while now. I would try those things and see if it gets you working again. The bug seems to sit with the "Image Capture Extension", using PTP enables the use of an extension named "PTPCamera" which is part of Mac OSX. Using Print PTP, is not a fix it is a work around. CPU usage goes through the roof when "Camera Window" starts up and for an extension named "Image Capture Extension" - you can check this using Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor (You can also use this to force quit the offenders). Had exactly the same problem, Camera Window failed to open - actually crashes sending report to apple. I'm using a PowerBook G4 and Mac OS 10.4.7, downloaded and installed most recent versions of Canon Software. In the Apple Support Discussion Boards, a poster writes:Ĭhange Camera to Print PTP and it will work. One possible solution that I found on a blog is to navigate on your hard drive to where the Canon software is actually installed, and double click on the Image Browser application instead of using the icon installed in the Dock.
